Sports in San Antonio

San Antonio is a city of the United States of America. It does situate on the south of the Texas State, nearly with other big cities like Dallas or Houston.  San Antonio has 1.300.000 habitants approximately. It was a moderate clime because there are soft winters and warm summers.

These are characteristics about the city but I want to talk about the sports in San Antonio. Its some sports in San Antonio like the basketball, the hockey and the baseball.

Now I tell you the most important teams of that city. The San Antonio Spurs for masculine basketball, the San Antonio Silver Stars for the feminine basketball and the San Antonio Rampage for the hockey. Also it’s a baseball team it call San Antonio Missions but it isn’t an important team.

The San Antonio Spurs plays in the at&t centre like the Silver Stars and the Rampage. In the history of this team it won four NBA championships in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007 with important players like David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, my favourite basketball player, and more other players. Now they begin the 2012-13 season and the team is obtaining good results and probably if this continue like right now the San Antonio Spurs can win the 5^th NBA championship. It will be satisfactory because The San Antonio Spurs is my favourite basketball team.

The Silver Stars is a young team and doesn’t point out in the WNBA, the feminine league, but I think that in a nearly future this team will be an important team of the league but now is time for work and grow.

The Rampage is the baseball team of the city it’s not a very point out team but as in USA the baseball is the most important sport the people of San Antonio cheer up the team and help it.  Also if you can see the results of the team you can see that team is growing and playing better.
